NOCTURNE COMIC STUDIOS TO PUBLISH BUTT UGLY MARTIANS, HERCULOIDS, ADVENTURES OF THE LI’L WUTANG CLAN AND HEATHCLIFF COMICS.
Full story after the jump.
BUTT UGLY MARTIANS – Based on the poorly received animated series that was developed by Canadians, the new series penned by Scott Lobdell will refurbish the brand for new readers and the upcoming direct-to-DVD movie. Illustrations by Horace Greeley III.
HERCULOIDS – John Michael Straczynski will take over this series based on the classic Adam Toth created Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Straczynski promises to bring back what fans of the series loved about it growing up along with a new take on Gleep and Gloop for the 21st century. Illustrations by Carl Schurz.
ADVENTURES OF THE LI’L WU-TANG CLAN – Long time comics and pop culture creator and fan THE RZA takes a crack at penning a new all ages series about the Wu-Tang Clan as “babies or toddlers or some shit.” The series that will also be illustrated by THE RZA promises to be an excellent introduction to the Wu-Tang Clan for readers of all ages. Unfortunately due to issues with the estate of the Old Dirty Bastard, he will be replaced with The Young Diaper Bastard.
HEATHCLIFF COMICS – Before pledging to “burn down BOOM Studios and stand in a pile of their ashes” President of Nocturne Comics pledged to bring Heathcliff, the original fat cat, back to his prime with a series of ghost writers and artists who could sell this book by their name alone, he promised while casually nodding to a confused a drugged looking Matt Fraction, Geoff Johns and Jonathan Hickman.
